The first class of CompleteCare Health Network interns graduates after a summer of hands-on experience

BRIDGETON, N.J. — Aug. 14, 2026 — CompleteCare Health Network (CCHN) celebrated the inaugural class of its CompleteCare Compass Internship Program on Friday, Aug. 14. The interns spent the summer gaining hands-on experience across departments while working on projects connected to community health care and public health.

Interns presented their work to CCHN managers, directors and executive leadership at a graduation ceremony held at CompleteCare Health Network’s administrative offices in Bridgeton. Projects included cervical cancer screening documentation, dental care for children with autism, employee relations, organizational policies and more.

CompleteCare Health Network’s President and CEO, Mr. J. Curtis Edwards expressed his excitement for the future of the CompleteCare Compass program participants. “At CompleteCare, we believe developing the next generation of leaders is an investment in the future of our communities,” said Mr. Edwards, “We wanted these young people to do more than observe. We wanted them to contribute, ask questions, solve problems and understand the impact their work can have on real people. I am extremely proud of our inaugural class, and I hope they leave their internship knowing that leadership is not defined by a title, it is defined by how you use your talents to serve others.”

Interns also shared their appreciation for their mentors and the CompleteCare Health Network board of directors for supporting the program.

“This internship gave me a different point of view of my career path,” said Crystal Pacheco, Legal Department intern.

Noreida Toro, a human resources intern, said the experience gave her a greater appreciation for the work behind the scenes. “I got the chance to see what goes into employee recognition and HR. There is a lot that goes into it,” Toro said. “I see the hard work that goes into the little things. I am grateful for this CompleteCare Compass program, and if I could do it a million times over, I would do it again and again.”

The CompleteCare Compass Internship Program provides students and emerging professionals with meaningful exposure to health care and the many career paths that support a community health organization. CompleteCare Health Network looks forward to expanding the program and welcoming future interns into the CompleteCare Compass community.
