CompleteCare Health Network celebrates local moms with community baby shower
(Bridgeton, NJ) – CompleteCare Health Network, in partnership with Horizon and the CompleteCare Foundation’s Baby Love Program, celebrated expectant mothers with a community baby shower at its administrative office in Bridgeton, NJ, on October 11th. The event provided moms-to-be with an afternoon of learning, encouragement, and community connection, featuring food, baby shower games, and essential baby items. Healthcare professionals, including Gwen McKenny, a CompleteCare women’s healthcare provider, and South Jersey Cooperative, offered health and wellness education to support a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Speakers addressed topics such as nutrition during pregnancy, postpartum depression, mental health, and what to expect during delivery, empowering mothers and guests with the knowledge and resources needed for childbirth and early parenting.
“This event is made possible through the generosity and commitment of organizations like Horizon and The CompleteCare Foundation,” said Joseph Cortez, Executive Director of the CompleteCare Foundation. “Continued support and contributions are vital to sustain programs that make events like the community baby shower possible. Every donation ensures families in need receive the care, resources, and support they deserve.” The Baby Love Program is a special prenatal initiative designed to support and celebrate expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey. The program encourages regular prenatal visits by offering thoughtful gifts—such as baby essentials and wellness items—at each appointment, helping mothers feel cared for and motivated to maintain consistent care. Through Baby Love, CompleteCare promotes healthy pregnancies, positive birth outcomes, and reinforces its commitment to compassionate, community-centered care for every mother and baby.
“At CompleteCare, we believe that healthy families begin with healthy pregnancies. Prenatal care is not just about checkups—it’s about building trust, providing education, and ensuring every mother feels supported and cared for from the very start,” said Curtis Edwards, President & CEO.
