Dr. Richard Michner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from the University of California in Berkeley, CA, in 1970 and his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1976. He completed a rotating internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ, and an OB/GYN residency at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Following his post-graduate training, Dr. Michner taught OB/GYN residents at Mercy Catholic Hospital Medical Center in Upper Darby, PA, and medical students from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.
Before joining CompleteCare (then Community Health Care, Inc.) in 2006, Dr. Michner practiced medicine at a private practice/partnership. He served as the medical director of OB clinical services and as an active staff member with full privileges at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital in Cape May Court House, NJ. He also participated in the cancer detection clinic at the Cape May County Health Clinic and served as president of the Cape May County Medical Society. Dr. Michner has been an adjunct professor at Atlantic Cape Community College, and he holds moonlighting-hospital privileges at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Jeannes Hospital, both in Philadelphia, PA.
