Greater Bridgeton Legends Donates Over $30,000 to CompleteCare Family Health Foundation

The Greater Bridgeton Legends wrapped up their most successful fundraiser to date in April by donating over $33,000 to the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation. Held on April 1st, 2017 at the Centerton Country Club, the annual event honored Mr. James M. Seabrook and Mr. Thomas C. Lane, IV for their dedication to improving the Bridgeton community through service and innovation.

The Greater Bridgeton Legends organization chose the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation as their honoree based on all of the work the organization does to improve the health and wellness of both Bridgeton and the entire South Jersey area.

“We are incredibly thankful to the members of the Greater Bridgeton Legends committee for choosing our foundation to be the benefactor of this year’s event,” said Stephanie Shelton, Director of the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation. “With the funds raised CompleteCare will continue to make an impact on the lives of the almost 60,000 patients we serve each year. Donations like these help us support our innovative projects such as Smile Smart, which provides comprehensive dental exams to low-income children, Baby Love, which helps moms-to-be stay active in their prenatal care; helping them achieve better birth outcomes, and Reach Out and Read, which promotes literacy by giving children age 6 months to 5 years a book during their pediatric well visits.”

This year’s Greater Bridgeton Legends event owes much of its success to their two stand-out honorees, Mr. James M. Seabrook and Mr. Thomas C. Lane, IV. “We work hard to choose exceptional individuals to honor as Legends and this year was no different,” said Gil Walter, Co-Chairman of the Greater Bridgeton Legends. “The commitment to the community that Mr. Lane and Mr. Seabrook represent is incredible. Seeing that commitment honored at the event made the night extra-special for everyone in attendance.”

The success of the most recent Legends event has the committee in the planning stages for 2018, with plans to grow the program to reach a larger audience and enable the committee to honor more people with the Legends award. “We hope to have a date and honorees for our first county-wide Legends event very soon,” said Walter. “We are excited to expand our reach and have the ability to honor the many Legends living throughout our great county.” The Greater Bridgeton Legends Committee would like to thank all of our 2017 sponsors for their generous support, including our top sponsors First Choice Freezer and Cold Storage, Gil Walter and Long Marmero & Associates LLP. The committee is also thankful for the many volunteers who helped make the evening outstanding.
