CompleteCare Health Network and Century Savings Bank Partner on Baby Love Program

(August 16, 2018, Cumberland County, NJ): CompleteCare Health Network is excited to announce Century Savings Bank as a partner in their Baby Love Program. The bank has generously donated $5,000.00 to help CompleteCare purchase 150 pack-n-plays for the Baby Love, a program launched in 2011, to ensure that more babies are born healthy in the three counties that the organization serves; Cape May, Cumberland and Gloucester County. According to Advocates of Children of New Jersey, 2015, Cumberland County has the highest rate of babies born at a low birth weight in the state of New Jersey. Because of the impact on low birth weight that early and consistent entry into prenatal care can have; Baby Love works to get moms-to-be into care earlier and encourages them to stay on top of the many appointments and tests necessary during their pregnancy by offering incentives at each visit. Aside from being given a better chance of a healthy birth outcome through regular check-ups with the doctor and specially-tailored health education, new moms come home with gifts that are chosen with a healthy baby in mind.

“We are so thankful for the generous donation made by Century Savings Bank,” said J. Curtis Edwards, President and CEO of CompleteCare Health Network. “We created the Baby Love program to help the pregnant women who come to our women’s health sites for prenatal care to have safer pregnancies and healthier babies. This donation does just that by giving 150 babies in our community a safe place to sleep.”

The pack-n-plays are given out to new moms at their baby’s first well visit, a few days after the baby is born.

“Century Savings Bank is pleased to partner with CompleteCare on such an invaluable program, we love knowing that the donation we made will help our community stay healthier and grow stronger,” said David Hemple, President and CEO of Century Savings Bank. “We are happy to be able to support such a worthy cause.”
