Jennifer Webb- McRae Honored at 2019 Cumberland County Legends Event

The Cumberland County Legends Committee is pleased to announce that Jennifer Webb- McRae will be one of the three outstanding community members honored at the 2019 Cumberland County Legends event on March 30th at The Grove at Centerton in Pittsgrove, NJ.


Jennifer Webb-McRae is the Cumberland County Prosecutor and Chief Law Enforcement Officer, and is a native of Vineland, NJ. She is a proud graduate of the Vineland Public School System, Glassboro State University and Rutgers – Camden School of Law. Prior to being appointed as the first African American and first female Prosecutor of Cumberland County in 2010, Jennifer was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the State of New Jersey and practiced law concentrating in areas of Criminal & Municipal Court Defense, Business & Real Estate and Wills & Estates. She also served as Child Support Attorney for the Cumberland County Welfare Board, Solicitor for the Fairfield Township Land Use Board and Public Defender for Maurice River Township.


Prosecutor Webb-McRae has continued her work with the community by launching a back-to- school initiative where her office visits over 30 schools per year to in an effort to educate families on topics that keep kids safe, such as anti-bullying, internet safety and gang and drug awareness. She has played an integral role in creating educational curriculum in these areas, as well as hosting symposiums on youth outreach, prescription drug abuse, substance abuse and gang awareness.


The Cumberland County Legends Committee is honored to have Jennifer Webb-McRae join the Cumberland County Legends Roster. ‘Jennifer is an exemplary candidate for this award. She has gone above and beyond her appointment as County Prosecutor, leading programs and educating the community to bring positive change. We look forward to honoring her at this year’s Legends event,’ said Christina Riley, Co-Chair to the Cumberland County Legends Committee.


Currently serving as the first full-time Prosecutor in Cumberland County to serve a second term, Prosecutor Webb-McRae’s Motto is ‘I will go anywhere, at any time to help the citizens of Cumberland County make healthy, positive choices.’

All proceeds from the Cumberland County Legends event will benefit the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation. The CompleteCare Family Health Foundation was established in 2015 to bolster CompleteCare Health Network’s mission. Serving our community since 1973, CompleteCare has provided hundreds of thousands of underserved patients with high quality, affordable and accessible health and dental care throughout Cape May, Cumberland and Gloucester counties. The Foundation works to support programs of the organization such as Smile Smart, which provides comprehensive dental exams to low income children, Baby Love, which helps moms-to-be stay active in their prenatal care to achieve better birth outcomes, and many other programs.
