CompleteCare Family Health Foundation Hires New Director

CompleteCare Family Health Foundation Hires New Director

CompleteCare Health Network and the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation are pleased to announce that they have hired a new director to lead the foundation.  Karla Laws joins the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation with a background rich in fundraising and management experience.

“We are thrilled to have Karla joining the organization,” said Emily Paul, Vice President of Communications and Development.  “She brings a lot of experience and expertise to a foundation that is growing rapidly and in need of someone who can take it to the next level to meet its goals.”

Prior to coming to CompleteCare, Laws worked with Cumberland Christian School and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey both in Vineland, NJ. Additionally, she has held positions with Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, NY and Talbot County Public Schools in Easton, MD. Karla holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Marketing from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD.

“I see the CompleteCare Foundation as an investment opportunity for our community to provide a meaningful impact on the health and developmental needs of the underserved in our area,” said Laws, who began her work with the organization at the beginning of January. “I have always had a soft spot for helping others.  There are so many needs in our community.  I am passionate to find ways to maximize the potential for our programs and services that do just that.”

Founded in November 2015, the CompleteCare Family Health Foundation was created to raise funds for CompleteCare Health Network and the many services the organization provides to the communities it serves in Cape May, Cumberland and Gloucester County. A large percentage of CompleteCare’s patients fall below 200% of Federal poverty guidelines.  In addition to the medical, dental and specialty care CompleteCare provides, they also offer many innovative programs that focus on the importance of children's dental care, women's health in pregnancy, child literacy, and more.

Laws will get to work on foundation activities right away, as on March 30, 2019 the foundation will host its annual Cumberland County Legends event honoring local community members Paul J. Ritter, III, Satish Shah, MD, and Jennifer Webb-McRae.
