Community Pharmacy Opens at CompleteCare’s Vineland Health Campus

CompleteCare Health Network celebrated the grand opening of the CompleteCare Community Pharmacy at their Vineland Health Campus located at 785 West Sherman Avenue in October. The addition of this facility helps CompleteCare work towards their goal of offering patients a comprehensive healthcare experience in one location. The Vineland Health Campus, which opened last February features 27 exam rooms, 10 dental rooms and 2 phlebotomy labs on site. The health center also sees patients for a wide array of services including primary care, pediatrics, counseling services, dental, podiatry, women’s health, and more.

“CompleteCare is always looking for ways to break down the barriers to care that patients might face,” said J. Curtis Edwards, President and CEO of CompleteCare Health Network. “Having a pharmacy on site for patients to use helps us do just that. A trip to the doctor no longer requires an extra stop to have prescriptions filled, they can do it right here after their visit with their doctor.”

Another benefit of the CompleteCare Community Pharmacy is its participation in the 340B Program. 340B is a discount prescription drug program that patients of community health centers, like CompleteCare, can enroll in to save money at participating pharmacies. CompleteCare currently works with about 30 pharmacies in their three-county service area.

Pharmacy Supervisor Dr. Emmanuel Poku oversees the pharmacy as well as all other pharmacy programs at CompleteCare. The in-house pharmacy also has a full staff, including Pharmacy Manager Vinay Arora, Pharmacist Michelle Vizzi, and Pharmacy Technicians Abigail Triado and Stephanie Quiles. Besides prescription medications the pharmacy also offers many over the counter items as well, making it extra convenient for patients.

Pharmacy hours mirror the hours the Vineland Health Campus is open seeing patients, Monday through Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday 8am-4:30pm and Saturday 8am-12pm. “We want to be sure people get the items they need when they need them,” said Edwards. “We want to make healthcare a little easier and we think this is a step in the right direction.”

CompleteCare’s Vineland Health Campus is anticipated to see approximately 22,000 patients each year for a total of about 73,000 visits annually. For questions about CompleteCare or the pharmacy, please call 856-451-4700.
